I've been building things my whole life - PCs in high school, modding video games, robots in the shop. Seven years of retail taught me how to work with people and manage chaos. When I finally committed to a bootcamp in 2021, it wasn't starting from scratch - it was giving a name to something I'd always done.
At AWS I get to solve the kind of problems I actually enjoy: making complex systems feel simple for other engineers. AI migration tooling, browser-based language servers, auth architecture - the throughline is always developer experience.
Outside work, I'm on a ski bus to Tahoe most winter weekends. I build side projects, game, and fly to Arizona to see my girlfriend. I've been building things since high school - PCs, robots, modding video games. I just like making things.
